Insights

Clover’s content is shaped by the people who lead technology every day.

Through interviews, industry research, and insight from within the community, we explore the issues that matter most to modern technology leaders. Our content spans blogs, editorial features and video, each designed to bring clarity, challenge thinking and offer practical guidance that leaders can actually use.
The Clover content hub brings real voices and real experiences to the forefront. Rather than abstract theory or recycled industry narratives, we focus on grounded perspectives from those navigating complex technology environments first-hand. The result is a growing library of insight that helps leaders make better decisions in a landscape that never stands still.
As a peer-led community, everything we publish starts with listening. We gather perspectives through one-to-one conversations, short surveys and ongoing dialogue across the network, capturing both the strategic pressures and day-to-day realities facing senior technology leaders
The aim is simple: thought leadership that is credible, practical and genuinely relevant.

Leadership in Uncertain Times

Cyber threats aren’t letting up, the economy keeps shifting, and boards want results from AI yesterday. So how are senior tech leaders actually holding up? Drawn from our InTheClouds event and a survey of the Clover community, this report looks honestly at the pressures on CIOs and CTOs right now: where they’re investing, what’s holding AI back, and why nearly 60% name board expectations for AI as their biggest external pressure.

With candid insight from peers including Kristy Lovegrove, Jane Frankland MBE, Lyn Webb and Linda Holmes, what comes through isn’t panic but resilience, along with a clear message. When so much is uncertain, how human your leadership is makes the real difference.

It’s time for AI to have a business impact

    March 2026

AI has gone from curiosity to board-level priority in record time, but is it actually making a difference? Drawn from a survey of the Clover community and our “AI Hype to Impact” event, this report takes an honest look at where enterprise AI really stands. Nearly nine in ten organisations are using tools like Copilot, Gemini or ChatGPT, yet only 8.1% have AI embedded at scale, and data quality is the biggest thing holding them back.

It’s not all caution, though. With insight from peers including Adam Searle at Capita TfL, who shares how AI cut one customer process from four days to under a minute, the report shows what’s possible when organisations stop experimenting and start redesigning how they work. The message is clear: it’s time for AI to move out of the sandbox and deliver real business impact.
