One community
One collective source of truth

The Clover calendar for Q2 brings together a mix of practical sessions, peer discussions and hands-on workshops designed for senior technology leaders.

The focus remains the same as always: real-world insight from people doing the job, not vendor presentations.

From service management and cybersecurity to AI and operational excellence, the next few months will cover many of the issues currently sitting at the top of the agenda for IT leaders.

🍉 17 April — XLAs vs SLAs: Moving Beyond the Watermelon Effect

Most IT leaders will recognise the “watermelon effect”: services appear green on the outside but are red underneath. Traditional SLAs often measure whether a service met a contractual metric, but they rarely capture the real user experience.

In this session, Clover community member Amanda Rutledge (QBE) will share her experience implementing Experience Level Agreements (XLAs). She will talk through how XLAs provide a more meaningful view of service performance and how organisations can shift their focus from technical metrics to actual user outcomes.

Amanda is a strong advocate of the XLA model, so this will be a practical session grounded in real implementation experience.

💬 30 April — Friday Online Session (Topic TBC)

Our regular Clover Friday online session returns at the end of April. These sessions provide a short, focused discussion on a relevant topic for the community.

The subject and guest speaker will be confirmed closer to the date.

💡 8 May — Innovator Showcase (Q2 2026)

The Clover Innovator Showcase returns for its second session of the year. A small number of emerging technology providers will each have a focused 15-minute slot to demonstrate their product and explain the problem they are solving for IT leaders.

The aim is simple: give the community visibility into interesting new technologies without the noise of traditional vendor events.

The innovators taking part will be announced closer to the session.

🛡️ 22 May — Cybersecurity Update (Q2 2026)

Cybersecurity remains one of the most persistent pressures facing technology leaders.

This session will bring the community together for an open discussion on the latest developments in the threat landscape and the practical implications for organisations. As always, the conversation will focus on what people are seeing in the real world and how teams are responding.

The visiting cybersecurity partner will be confirmed closer to the event.

🏦💡 5 June — Innovator Showcase (Financial Services Edition)

For this session, the Innovator Showcase will focus specifically on financial services environments.

Selected emerging technology providers will present short, practical sessions on solutions designed for FS organisations, including the challenges around regulation, resilience and security that are unique to the sector.

The participating innovators will be announced nearer the time.

🛠️ 10 June — Clover Hack: Cyber Incident Roundtable

(In person, 12:30–17:30)

The Clover Hack sessions are designed to be practical and collaborative.

For our second Hack of 2026, members will take part in a hands-on roundtable exploring a major malware incident scenario. Working together, the group will walk through the practical steps organisations should take before, during and immediately after a cyber crisis.

The goal is to surface real procedures and peer insight rather than theoretical frameworks.

More details will follow soon.

🤖 22 June — AI Working Group (Q2 Update)

The Clover AI Working Group returns with its quarterly update.

We will open with a short briefing to frame the discussion before moving into Trevor’s AI Firehose Round-Up — a fast-paced overview of the latest developments, tools and trends shaping the AI landscape.

Visiting IT partners will be announced closer to the session.

☁️ 24 June — InTheClouds @ The Shard

Searching for Operational Excellence

Our next InTheClouds evening takes place at The Shard and will focus on a topic many organisations are currently wrestling with: operational excellence.

The session will explore what operational excellence really means for modern IT organisations, including the tools, practices and leadership approaches required to deliver resilient, high-performing technology operations.

As always, this is a peer-led evening for senior technology leaders.

No sales decks. Just candid discussion and practical insight.
